Room to Read currently work in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Granada and Jordan.

Room to Read invites applications for the following positions for a three year Project on Reading Advancement in partnership with UN World Food Program (WFP) funded by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The program will be implemented in Ukhia and Kutubdia Upazilas under Cox’s Bazar district.

Research Monitoring & Evaluation Associate
(1 position based in Ukhia & 1 position based in Kutubdia under Cox’s Bazar District)

Position Overview:

The RM&E Associate works as monitoring lead for ensuring program and data quality at upazila level and work closely with the district field office to ensure timely implement of the program and reporting of the Project on Reading Advancement activities. This position reports to the Project Manager and provide support for preparing different reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Frequent monitor the ongoing program and support technical team to improve the program quality
  • Check reported data with primary data sources and ensure data quality and documentation
  • Provide on job training on data collection, data archiving, data analysis and reporting to field level staff
  • Collect and archive program data, analysis data and prepare different presentation illustrating trend
  • Support to conduct Data Quality Monitoring, Library Rating System including data collection, data entry and report preparation;
  • Assist CO RM&E team for conducting baseline, midline, end line and program only assessment
  • Participate different program and events of Room to Read

Job Requirements

  • Required:
    • At least Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university, major in statistics or any other relevant subject
    • At least two years of experience in monitoring and research work including, data collection, data quality, data entry and managing database

    Technical

    • Strong knowledge in office software as well as database software such as MS Access, Excel, SPSS is a must
    • Experience and comfort using computers and web-based applications
    • Experience using some kind of customized and/or project database such
    • Comprehensive knowledge of current developments and techniques in managing database system
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions will be a plus
    • Collect and archive program data, analysis data and prepare different presentation illustrating trend
