Sustainability Chief at Gildan-G.A.B. Limited

Context: This position will execute the Environmental Management System, codes, standards, programs, and corporate and customer efforts in the plants under their responsibility.

Your Responsibilities

• Environmental law discussions and teaching.
• Guarantee Gildan’s Environmental Management System in its plants.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental, human rights, and social safety regulations, Codes, and Customer Guides.
• Maintain updated environmental and social compliance paperwork to satisfy internal and external audits.
• Follow-up on internal and client audit action plans for environmental and social compliance in its sites.
• Participate in plant environmental and social compliance checks.
• Ensure and coordinate that all plant employees are aware of the environmental risks caused by their activities, proving training.
• Through activities, campaigns, training, and induction of new workers and contractors, reinforce Gildan’s values and sustainability standards.
• Help classify all activities’ waste to meet Gildan’s standards.
• Complete the FEM module self-assessment and support the Higg Index FSLM module for their plants.

Status of employment: Full-time

Needed Level of Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Eng & Production.

Possible Experience Needs

• Age 30 to 38 years
• Experience 5 year
• Compliance and sustainability expertise is required.
• Garments and textiles expertise is required.
• FLA, WRAP, SMETA, and CTPAT expertise.
• Communication, EHS, Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft Office
